An RCMP investigation appears to have come full circle, with officers again scouring the site where a missing elderly couple's burned-out motorhome was found almost two-and-a-half months ago.
CTV news has learned searchers returned to the Minnow Lake campground on Saturday, located approximately 35 kilometres southeast of Edson.
About eight officers on All Terrain Vehicles looked for clues, starting at the crack of dawn.

RCMP members gather Saturday morning during a McCann-related search near Minnow Lake.
The RV belonging to the couple was found burned-out near the Minnow Lake campground about 35 kilometres southeast of Edson.
Lyle and Marie McCann of St. Albert, just outside Edmonton, were reported missing by their family on July 10, two days after they were due to meet their daughter in Abbotsford, B.C.
While those on site were not authorized to speak on camera, they say the efforts were part of a low-priority gird search of the area. They are not expecting to return on Sunday.
The development comes after ground and dive teams wrapped up a multi-day search on a rural property between Niton Junction and Nojack, just off Hwy. 16 and R.R. 120. An area resident said the man who owns that 80-acre property is a former friend of Travis Vader – the lone suspect named in the disappearance of Lyle and Marie McCann.
Forensics teams were seen removing a garbage bag filled with unknown contents from the site last weekend, and investigators were witnessed going into a specific location with a camera.
Police confirm no human remains were found while they executed their search warrant.
People who live in the region say RCMP have searched several nearby properties over the past several weeks.
The McCanns were last seen on July 3rd during a road trip to B.C. Their charred R.V. was found two days later, then on July 16th the S.U.V. they were towing was found deep in the bush about 30 kilometres east of Edson.
Crime Stoppers has received more than 170 tips related to the case, and a reward for information that leads to the whereabouts of the couple stands at $60,000.
